FUN FACTS about Aleisha
Aleisha is passionate about the outdoors and she enjoys walking, biking, and high elevation hiking. Aleisha is also a musician and she regularly performs with a community choir in town. As an artist, she enjoys creative projects such as musical performing, cooking, and painting. |
Credentials: Aleisha is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC). She graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH in 2008 with an MA in psychology (clinical emphasis). Aleisha then went on to complete a post-masters certificate program in marriage and family therapy at Denver Family Institute. Aleisha also completed a 32-hour course in Attachment Focused Family Therapy with Dan Hughes in 2013. Additionally, Aleisha trained with Karyn Purvis and her staff in the TBRI (trust based relational intervention) approach for families who've adopted/fostered children. She is also EMDR trained. Aleisha teaches a post-graduate course in family play therapy at Denver Family Institute and is involved in the supervision of master’s level therapists at Denver Family Institute. |
