FUN FACTS about Laura

Laura is a Chinese American Adoptee who grew up in a Northern New Jersey suburb as an only child. She was adopted from YiWu in Zhejiang Province and traveled back to China multiple times since being adopted. One time was in 2018 where she presented her Masters work on how Chinese Adoptees navigate identity, community, and culture. Outside of psychotherapy, Laura enjoys community organizing, playing trombone, and spending time with her cats!

Credentials: Laura is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Addiction Counselor in the state of Colorado. She graduated from Goucher College with a Masters in Cultural Sustainability and completed a post-masters certificate program in Marriage & Family Therapy at Denver Family Institute. Laura studies IFS, EFT, and Narrative therapy along with working as a sex therapist offering gender inclusive care.
