PASS Center is pleased to offer therapeutic yoga for adoptees ages 9-14. Yoga increases physical strength, balance, and flexibility. Yoga also increases chemicals in the brain that improve mood and decrease depression. Yoga improves sleep and decreases insomnia, boosts confidence and body satisfaction, and decreases release of stress hormones. Research also supports that yoga improves mindfulness skills, reduces symptoms of anxiety, and participants report overall emotional strength and self satisfaction

Time: Saturdays from 9-10:30am (1.5 hrs)

About the Therapist: Kristen Chamberlain has been working with children and their families as a Mental Health psychotherapist for 15 years. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado and a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. In addition to her work with children and families, Kristen also teaches Restorative and Vinyasa community classes at The Cycling Yogi in Lakewood, Colorado.
