Research continues to support the use of yoga and mindfulness as an adjunctive treatment approach for PTSD, anxiety, depression, addiction, and daily life stress. Under the guidance of a licensed trauma therapist, this class will assist participants in attuning to sensations with mindful presence, developing centering and grounding techniques, expanding ways to explore the body with gentle curiosity, and embodying a sense of strength and control.
Through the use of gentle poses combined with relaxation and breathing techniques, this class will assist you in discovering tools to connect with your body and heart. No previous yoga experience necessary. Mats will be provided
When: First and Third Thursdays from 6:00pm-7:00p starting January 12 **No class on Feb 2, May 18
Who: Teen girls/Women ages 15+
